I'm Rollin Now...

Yesterday was our lia sophia jewelry bingo and what a fantastic event!!! It was a huge success for everyone and I believe every single lady that attended had a great time!!! Over 15 different gift baskets were there for ladies to win, 60+ pieces of lia sophia jewelry to win playing bingo, grand prize jewelry box with 15 pieces of lia sophia jewelry in it and several door prizes (over 25). Every single lady left with some type of prize. I had tons of ladies asking me when our next bingo will be so they can mark it on their calendar. I definitely plan to participate next year. I had a table full of customers that attended who also placed some orders for me and I even got a booking from it as well. Woohoo! Overall it was a big success and I had a fabulous time. We are already planning another event for the fall/winter season so stay tuned!! Thank you to all my wonderful past customers and hostesses who came...I know you had a good time. : )
I really seem to be rollin now with this lia sophia business and I'm so excited!! I made a ton of money this month with all my parties and sales....money that will definitely go to good use. I made enough money this month to pay for our entire vacation to the Outer Banks in August! AWESOME! Thank you to all my great hostesses and customers...I couldn't have done it without you.

My calendar is filling up fast with lia sophia parties for the fall/winter...contact me to set something up today!

Awesome Show!

I had a FABULOUS lia sophia show last night!!! The hostess was great and had tons of yummy food for all to enjoy...I'm loving those cheese balls! YUM! Anyway, it was a VERY successful party with TONS of orders. She had over 20 people there and all of them just fell in love with the jewelry! I made so much in sales at this show that the commission alone was just about enough to make my MORTGAGE payment!! Can you believe that?!?! What other job pays you that much to sit around, chat about jewelry and eat yummy food? I'm so excited!! Woohoo!! The hostess was able to get $600 in FREE jewelry! Awesome!! I can start selling out of the new fall/winter catalog next week and I'm already getting lots of calls from previous customers about hosting a show. The new catalog is just fantastic! Oh yeah...this lady came into the office today and commented about my jewelry and guess what?...she is having a show! Right away she gave me her info (phone #, address, email) and said "I definitely want to have a show!" YAY!

Our big lia sophia jewelry bingo is this Sunday the 27th at 2pm and I can't wait! We are giving away all kinds of FREE jewelry, gift baskets, cash and more. If you are interested in coming...contact me for more details jewelrynut@comcast.net.

Fun Weekend!

After a stressful week at work, my weekend went much better.

Friday: Erik and I went out to dinner to Panera Bread (mmmm...bread bowls) and did a little shopping for some items we needed. Who doesn't love shopping??

Saturday: I had to run a couple errands while Erik went down to Lancaster for work. Once Erik got home we were preparing things for our fun evening of Wii entertainment!!! A couple of our friends came over for dessert and drinks and....Wii fun!!! We all had a blast playing Mario Kart (Ang, you need some practice...lol), Carnival Games, Mini Golf and much more. Great evening!

Sunday: I had a lia sophia party in the afternoon and what a fun party it was!! The hostess is an outstanding cook and I mean outstanding!!! She is asked all the time about catering events, weddings, etc. WOW...she made over 10 different dishes for everyone and they were FANTASTIC! I'm still talking about it today. Yum! Anyway, the party was great...the ladies just loved all the jewelry and couldn't get over the special for the month so they were buying tons! We all had a nice time trying stuff on and coordinating outfits for them...I can't believe this is called work! I made over $300 commission on this party and I hardly did a thing....just ate yummy food and played with jewelry. How fun! Kathy...you were an awesome hostess and I want all those recipes!

This week I have another lia sophia show and this hostess has over 25 people coming!! OMG...that is awesome! I'm so excited...I will be making big bucks on this one.

Having One of Those Days...

Did you ever have one of those days where you just hate everything and wish you could crawl into a deep dark hole and stay there for...oh like 2 or 3 months? That is the kind of day I'm having today. I just hate my job so much and my mom and dad are in rare form this week. If I have to listen to my mom complain about having their kitchen redone one more time, I'm gonna snap (their kitchen is getting remodeled this week)! I love my mom to death but she tends to complain A LOT when she gets stressed acting like she has it the worst out of everyone in the world. It gets old real fast when you hear all about it ALL DAY LONG and EVERYDAY! My dad is having one of those "I hate this business" kind of weeks where he wants to shut everything down and move to Florida to retire. He is screaming about everything because its extremely hectic here this week with jobs, etc. All this week I've been finding myself just staring at the computer or sitting back in my chair thinking about how my work life SUCKS! I've been looking into part time jobs lately and trying to figure out a way to leave here or at least drop down to part time with my parents. A whole career change would be nice but being 27 and wanting to start a family kinda makes things difficult. Erik just doesn't make enough money for me to be a stay at home wife/mom so I continue to be miserable working here. On the other hand, I have my parents putting so much pressure on me to keep things afloat here at work that I just can't take it anymore. There is just never a good time for me to approach my parents. I already told them that I hate it here and about not putting so much pressure on me but things just aren't getting any better. It was better for about a week then it goes right back to the way it was. I just wish I could go back in time and get myself a different college degree and do something I actually enjoy!

Last night I get home from work and Erik has this bummed out look on his face. What is wrong I say? He tells me about how depressed he is about his job too and he can't take it anymore and how he spent all day looking for another job. AHHHH!! We are both so miserable that it makes our home life suffer.

Ugh, I don't know...I just needed to vent a minute. Thanks for listening.

16 Weeks

Today I would have been 16 weeks pregnant. : ( I've been listening to this station on Pandora Radio that plays all these slow/emotional type songs (not sure why I am listening to this station in the first place) and for some reason it is making me think about being pregnant. I still struggle with the loss of our baby but getting better each week. Everywhere I go I see babies, see pregnant women, hear pregnant news from friends/family and it makes me want to scream...seriously! I mean I am happy for all these people but call me selfish...I want it too!
I recently bought this figurine for our garden in honor of our baby that grew wings a couple weeks ago. I just felt that I needed to honor him or her and let them know that we will never forget!

Busy Busy Busy Weekend

OMG, what an exhausting weekend!!!!! I haven't been this tired in a long long time. Let's recap my weekend shall we?

Friday: I worked obviously 8am-4:30pm and then rushed over to St. Ann's Byzantine Catholic Church in Harrisburg by 5pm to coordinate a wedding rehearsal. Of course not everyone showed up on time so I sat around for a half hour or so. The rehearsal went pretty well actually and the priest was more laid back than I thought. I never attended or coordinated a Byzantine Catholic wedding before so I wasn't sure what to expect...from the research I did it sounded very involved and VERY long. There is definitely more going on in the ceremony than a traditional christian ceremony but very lovely. Rehearsal ended about 6:30pm and I was off to the grocery store to get food for a lia sophia meeting at my house Sunday morning. I finally get home to prepare last minute details for the wedding the next day and get to bed.

Saturday: Got up early to clean the house and prepare food for the lia sophia meeting the next morning. Erik went to Virginia with a friend all day so he was not around to pitch in with household chores. I leave around noon to pick up my assistant for the wedding and start the day of wedding festivities. Without going into tons of details, the wedding went wonderfully and I got many compliments on how well I had everything organized and got many hugs from the bride and groom for a job well done (that makes me feel good). I had to stay until the very end of the wedding because they were having a sparkler exit outside the hotel for the grand finale. The sparkler exit got started at about 11:30pm and at this point I was so tired and having a hard time keeping my eyes open! Once the sparkler exit was over, I was free to finally leave! I got home at about 12:30am and just collapsed! I couldn't fall asleep until about 2am since I was still in that "busy mode".

Sunday: I set the alarm for 7am so I could get everything together for the lia sophia meeting at my house at 11am. Thank god I didn't set the alarm any later. As soon as I got out of the shower and threw some clothes on I saw 2 ladies coming up to my house!!! OMG, people are here already and its only 8am!!!! I go into panic mode because I still had things all over the place in the kitchen. I'm running around throwing things into closets and throwing the dog in the bedroom and waking my husband up telling him to babysit the dog! Poor Erik!! My lia sophia manager's managers (get that?) were at the meeting and brought the entire new line of jewelry along for all to see so that is why they came so early! I was not ready! I'm flying around on a couple hours of sleep trying to get everything together. The phone is ringing, the dog is barking and I'm trying to make coffee, get food out, cut fruit, etc. Anyway, the meeting finally starts at 10am and the last person leaves at 1:30pm! It was a long meeting...but very fun I must add! I got all kinds of fun gifts and free jewelry! Poor Erik was stuck upstairs with the dog and didn't even get a chance to eat anything. I clean everything up just in time to go to my friend Adrian's house to see a slide show of her wedding/honeymoon pictures...tons of people there and lots of yummy food. I stayed for a couple hours and then had to leave because I was just so tired! My day isn't over yet...I still need to run to the grocery store to get food for the Nest get together at my house the next day! I had no idea what to get and I was walking around like a zombie in the grocery store trying to figure it out. I finally get home Sunday evening at 7pm in time to help Erik vacuum the floors and clean the kitchen floors so the house is nice and cleaned up for my nestie friends. Needless to say I went to bed pretty early last night.

Whew! Now here I am at work on a Monday morning and struggling to stay awake from a long and BUSY weekend. I got a nice blister on my toe from the wedding so my feet are killing me too. Man, this post sounds like a bunch of complaining doesn't it?! Sorry about that...I just needed to get that all out I guess. Don't get me wrong, I loved everything I did this past weekend but it was just a little too much for me to handle. I have a problem with saying "no" to people so I try to help out everyone even if it means making myself miserable for a week or so. I just want to make everyone happy! I don't know how I would have done this weekend if I was pregnant! Anyway, I'm looking forward to a more relaxed week. I hope everyone has a nice week too!

Back from Oklahoma!!

Well...I survived the trip to see the inlaws in Oklahoma! Erik and I got back to PA yesterday afternoon from a week long trip to see his parents new house in Oklahoma. It actually was a fun trip and my inlaws house is GORGEOUS!!!! Totally not what I was expecting decorating wise...I honestly was expecting wallpaper and bright colors everywhere. The interior decorator in Oklahoma is WAY better than the one she used here in PA. My MIL must have spent at least a million dollars on the furniture, curtains, decor...everything! Remember they went out there with basically NOTHING but their clothes and cars leaving us with all their furniture, etc. We had a nice time relaxing and enjoying something different for a change. We went to the zoo one day, the National Cowboy Museum (this was actually pretty cool) one day, went into downtown Oklahoma City one evening for dinner and a horse and carriage ride, MIL took me shopping and bought me all kinds of clothes...YAY! Great time overall and I'm sure we will be back sometime soon. Below are some pictures from my inlaws awesome house!!!

There is a man made lake in the back...it is muddy right now because they are still doing construction but it will be a clear lake once the development is done plus there will be a fountain in the middle of it.
