Mmmmmm

Yummy....sketties!!!

10 Months

Sorry, my 10 month post is a little late. There is a lot going on right now that there are not enough hours in the day to get everything done. Anyway, my little man is 10 months old!! I am already busy planning his 1st birthday party...I can't believe it!!! The plan is to have his party on our new deck that my dad and Erik are to build but they don't have much done at all so, it may have to either move inside or I would like to maybe rent a party tent for the backyard.

Keaton spends most of his days cruising the furniture or anything he can pull himself up on. It truly is amazing at how fast they grow and learn new things. I can't keep up with him sometimes. He is such a ball of fun right now and we just love watching him play and learn.

Milestones
- Pulling self up on anything and everything
- Walking along the furniture
- Has been crawling like a pro for the past 2 months
- Mastered pincher grasp
- Eating mostly table food (I'm happy that we don't have a picky eater because he will eat anything)
- Has 6 teeth now
- Says dada constantly (we are working on mama but has no interest in saying it)
- Waves when you say hi or bye
- Imitates certain actions (for example: if we pick up a ball and put it up on the chair, Keaton will pick up the same ball and put it on the chair...we turned this into a fun game because he does it ALL.THE.TIME now...haha)
- Finally dropped his 3rd nap...this took forever to eliminate
- Dropped one bottle feeding...he now gets 3 8oz bottles of formula a day

Below are some pictures from his 10 month photo shoot. Surprisingly he sat still the whole time! This is VERY rare anymore.

My First Mother's Day

What a wonderful first Mother's Day! I started the morning off with some homemade waffles made by my wonderful husband. Yummy! I then spend some time with my little guy before we headed to dinner with my parents, brother and grandma. This was Keaton's first time in a restaurant since he was born....yes, you read that correctly...it took my nearly 10 months to take him to a restaurant. I know I need to stop sheltering him...I'm working on it. Anyway, I was a little nervous about how he would act in the restaurant (plus we had to wake him up from his nap to make the reservation time) but to my surprise, he did AWESOME! He had a wonderful time sitting in the high chair playing with toys, eating some of my turkey dinner and chatting up a storm to the waitress and other guests. He is such a ham! Erik and I both said to each other on the way home that we should definitely try to out to eat again with just the 3 of us. The evening was then spent playing with some new toys that we bought him yesterday and watching "Toy Story" before it was time for nite nite. I had a lovely day and feel so blessed to be the mother of this precious boy. Happy Mother's Day to all you mommies out there! : )

Keaton's First Play Date

Keaton and I had the honor of hosting a play date at our house this weekend. Unfortunately a couple kids could not come last minute but Maddy, Olivia and Keaton had a fun time with each other. Keaton is not used to be around other kids so he was a little unsure with what was going on. I think having a more regular play date with other kids will help ease him into it. I need to get Keaton out of his little bubble and experience life. : ) Thanks for coming girls. Keaton was a little ladies man!
