Successful Open House!

Wow...what a fun day! My lia sophia open house was a huge success! Lots of friends/family/past customers came to check out the fabulous new spring/summer line. Most people spent a couple hours trying jewelry on, placing orders, eating refreshments and just socializing. I even got 3 bookings out of it which is awesome! These ladies totally realized how great the hostess benefits are so they couldn't pass up having a show of their own. Thank you to all who came...I really appreciate it and I hope you enjoyed yourself. Stay tuned for another one in the fall for the new fall/winter line.

Extra Hostess Bonus this Month!!!!

Corporate office sent us a fabulous email today about an extra bonus for hostesses this month!!!

Receive an additional $50 in FREE jewelry with $500+ in home show sales! This is on TOP of all the other FREE jewelry and discounts you have for hosting a show. I can't tell you enough how awesome the hostess benefits are for having a show! When I had my starter show (back in September 2007) my sales were over $1,500....that means I got $600 in FREE jewelry along with other awesome discounts. I was able to get over 18 pieces of jewelry from that show. How awesome is that?!?! Don't forget mother's day is right around the corner...this is the perfect opportunity to host a show! Update those wardrobes for the spring/summer!

Happy Spring!

I don't know about you but I am so ready for the warmer weather. It still feels like winter out there and I haven't quite broken out the sandals. Recently I decided that I wanted to donate over half of my wardrobe to goodwill and start over with a fresh new look. I went on a fun shopping trip with friends a couple weeks ago and got TONS of new things. It feels so good to put on a new outfit for the first time....just makes you feel pretty and what women doesn't love that? In addition to buying new clothes, I bought new jewelry of course. Our new lia sophia spring/summer line is just awesome and I get tons of compliments on the new pieces that I wear. Below are some tips for accessorizing with jewelry!

Paris Hilton at a lia sophia fashion show!

- Black makes bright colored stones pop!
- Wedding rings don’t have to match other metals in your jewelry.
- Wear necklaces 3”-4” below your neckline.
- Wear larger earrings for a "smaller" appearance.
- Use proper sizes of jewelry to match your body shape. Petite women will often be overwhelmed by a piece of jewelry that looks delicate on larger women. *Wear pins high on your shoulder.
- Keep textures the same - antique with antique, shiny with shiny etc.
- Don't wear Mardi Gras beads.
- Wearing 3 bracelets on one arm is an attractive option.
- Wear a bracelet with your watch.
- Long necklaces create vertical lines, thus making you appear taller and more slender.
- Jewelry is the most cost-effective accessory you can own & changes the look of each outfit.
- Wear jewelry to add color. For example if you're wearing an all black and white outift, a pink necklace, and/or bracelet, and/or watch, would look beautiful.

Yes, I am still alive

Oh my goodness, it's been a long time since I posted huh? I'm not the best with computer stuff so I guess I was just avoiding it...sorry! Well a lot has gone on since I wrote last. Christmas has been here and gone and a new year has started. My husband and I decided that it was time to start a family so we have been "busy" TTC. No luck so far but we will keep trying.

Most of you know that I work for my parents business full time. Well all the stress and frustration has finally set in after 5 years and I just had to tell my mom and dad how I felt. I am so extremely depressed working for them but feel so trapped in a family business. Unless you work in a family business, you will never understand how difficult it really is. Something has to change but after talking with my parents, I do feel much better.

I really hope lia sophia takes off for me but so far its been a struggle. I REALLY enjoy doing it and I hope my manager can help guide me in the right direction. It would be a DREAM to quit working FULL time for my parents and do this. We shall see.
